Denise is honored to have facilitated with NEA Center for Social Justice for over nine years and is also a Welcoming Schools National Facilitator. Through this collaboration, Denise can help guide and recommend best next steps for educational organizations.
As a nurse, specializing in rehabilitation, Denise has experience looking across the intersectionality of cultures for inclusive practices. She recently presented Implicit Bias training for Health Care Providers as ongoing certification for practitioners through the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine.
Denise was previously co-business owner, artist and trainer for the international faux and mural painting company Emmerling Studios, as well as an active member of the city of Milwaukie Arts Committee, curating shows and events as well as collaborating with First Friday Festivities and the Milwaukie Downtown Business Association. Through this experience Denise has been able to incorporate business leadership, equity and empathy trainings using art projects as a vehicle for creativity, empathy, diversity, and discussion.
